Its been a while since we have rated a sports news site. Normally I have been relying on links shared on social media, as well as sports news published in sports betting software blogs. But I do want to take a look at the basic sports news sites and see if they should be worth subscribing to. Today, I’ll do a quick rating on Sky Sports.

So, Sky Sports is a popular sports news site- but it depends on what sport you like. They tend to cater to European sports, and international sports events as well. Unlike what you would see in white label sports betting software, here you have soccer dominating the news content, with racing, boxing, and more.

Sky Sports Rating

Screen Shot 2022-02-12 at 12.09.29 AMIf you want NBA, NFL, NHL and MLB news, you are better off with other news sites, as this is not the target content that Sky Sports offers. If you do like soccer, Formula 1, rugby, and the likes, then this is a good source of news. And when you are learning how to be a bookie, you need to be keeping track of all the other sports events as well.

As for the actual content posted, they do give out a lot of updates, but not as much as I would expect from a large news company. Other news sites of their caliber offer real time news updates, with a lot of information displayed in the home page. With Sky Sports, the main page has a smattering of sports news, with the layout dedicated to branding.

While I do appreciate the lack of clutter especially in the form of ads, I still find it lacking in terms of the quantity of content that I would like to see. Other news sites are able to display a lot more information without looking too busy, while some are overkill. In Sky Sports’ case, it’s the opposite.
